Fulton County Government issued reduction in Force Letters to 81 Firefighters.

I can say
that I am ashamed to be an Atlanta firefighter today! The MUTTS
have beaten us down. Our guys are hanging their heads and morale is at an
all time low. If you know of anyone that is recruiting firefighters at any
rank, Atlanta is ripe for the picking right now. Your brothers in Atlanta
are now knocked down there with the ditch diggers and garbage collectors.
Cops now make 7.5% more than firefighters and that will probably be
increased next year. Mayor Franklin has promised the cops a 40% pay increase
and NOTHING for firefighters. Please feel free to e-mail these MUTTS and
tell them EXACTLY how you feel!

Wayne Carter (Fulton County & Roswell Fire Departments) was hospitalized on Thursday for difficulty breathing. He is in CCU at North Fulton Hospital. I talked to his wife this morning, he has improved.
