April 27

A Cobb County police officer's legs were crushed when he was pinned between two cars. The officer was investigating an earlier accident when another car slammed into him. The officer was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.   More information to follow....

 

April 23

A DeKalb County fireman is recovering from injuries he sustained battling an apartment fire Saturday. Flames broke out at 4 p.m. at the Wood Ridge Apartments. After about 15 minutes of trying to knock the fire down, firefighters were ordered to retreat, but when a chimney collapsed, one fireman was trapped. "We were able to extricate the firefighter from the building. He was taken to DeKalb Medical Center for minor injuries,� said Fire Captain Antonio Burden. No one else was injured, either in the fire or fighting it. The Red Cross was called in to assist.
