A Firefighter was killed this afternoon in an apparatus crash at the Lowndes County/Lanier County line in Georgia.   It happened as the fire apparatus was responding to a call in Lanier County.  The fire apparatus collided with another truck near the Stockton community at the intersection of Highway 84 and Highway 129.  Three firefighters were in the apparatus, one was killed and others had serious injuries.

We are reaching out to our Brothers and Sisters of the Fire Service community to seek help with some upcoming events. FF Damon Gensel of Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is in desperate need of a Bone Marrow Transplant. He has been diagnosed with an agressive form of Leukemia. Damon simply needs your help by giving blood and being tested to be a possible Bone Marrow Donor. There are several events in the near future in which you can participate. See the attached flyers for those events. Please take these flyers and post them at your stations or distribute them throughout your departments. If you have any further questions feel free to contact:
